Aside from some outstanding acting, directing and writing it's just nice to follow an adult story for a change.

All I can say is Pa-LESE! Do another …and I'd luv to see Gary Oldman put his own spin on Alec Guinness' "interrogation" scene. Can't wait! Quote

0 #12 MJ 2013-03-15 17:22 Hey, all Gary Oldman fans! Next Thursday is Gary's birthday. So this is my pre-birthday wish for him. He played Lee Harvey Oswald in JFK. I live in Fort Worth, TX where Oswald is buried in a cemetery on the east side of town. I've got to get over there and take a picture of the grave and forward to Gary. I don't know of any other actor who ever played Lee Harvey as well and convincing as our own, Gary Oldman. Happy B'day Gary! Quote

I recently took out membership in the Blockbuster Video mail where you enter all your favorite actor's videos in queue and they are mailed to you periodically. The first I received on last week was "Prick Your Ears". I can hardly wait to receive "Sid and Nancy" and "Nil By Mouth". Of course, I was saddened by how Prick Your Ears ended but overall it is a great movie. I also wrote to one of my favorite directors to see if he can see a sequel in the future for "Bram Stoker's Dracula"? If soap operas can bring back actors, so can movies. Quote

I remembered that Gary was in "Tiptoes" where I believe he was walking on his knees but nevertheless it was good. In "Hannibal" he was a disfigured man, not really what many may consider a person with a disability. I wish Gary could redo "The Apostle" that Robert Duvall did and he was nominated. I was hoping Gary would have been a presenter at this year's Oscars. Looking forward to all the 2013 movies you will make. Quote

Anyone who can play such diverse rolls like Beethoven to a wacked out rastafarian(is it white boy day?) Or a smooth vampire to a futuristic villain, adultering reverend and the list goes on and looking forward to lots more.

i read that book its funny because i was going to write that about gary but guess you beat me .i thought with 9 chapters that had been reduced to about 70 pages just right i enjoyed it because it had a fresh take on writting with the rawness and intruging story Quote

0 #4 jim daly 2012-11-17 02:20 im a massive fan of gary oldman .i purchased a book the other day it was called allegiance of the dammed .i got it of an oline book shop .i like to have a read at new material its a short novel but long story short i instantly thought of gary oldman as the inital character and wish this was a movie with him in that role .if you want to see what i mean read it .it was on a web site called shopmybook.com the search name went under the authors name d.j.byers .i found it an interesting read Quote
